Read on to learn more important information about becoming one of these pilots.

Careers

There are a number of career options for those who take the necessary steps to become a GA pilot.

  • Highway patrol – See the roadways from the sky and report what is going on. You would be called upon during times when the roadways were experiencing issues, for example, during accidents, police pursuits, and flooding.

  • Surveying during geographical events

  • Advertising – If a company, or even a person wants to get a message across in a unique way, they may call you to fly it across the sky.

Requirements

You will have to obtain your commercial pilot's license to work in this field. In addition, you must complete many hours of training. During training you will learn about the different parts of the plane, how to maintain the plane, the pre-flight checklist and much more. You will also spend many hours flying different models of aircraft. It may seem like a lot, but it is well worth it.
